Just a quickie to draw attention to the fact that The Artists Web is now in japanese.
You can find it under the name アーティストウェブ which reads ‘artist web’ in japanese.
Happy clicking!
So I’d like to get my greasy mitts on a japnese smart phone. One contender is the sofbank x01t.com

Here’s a nice view on a particularly clear day from my roof. Sorry the sound is inaudible, but I can’t be arsed to edit the video. I’m mumbling something about how far away Mount Fuji is, it’s something like 60miles or more. Then as I point the camera at the train station I mention something about the school girls commuting to school. Finally the video finishes with a view of down town tokyo (about 4 miles away) and then a nice mugshot to end the episode.

So I’ll Skimp on the waffle today, suffice to say I found a good place to Kite Surf near Toyko.

Kiteboarding on the nice flat water in Miurakaigan!
So you’re the proud owner of a brand new, clean and trendy MacBook (White). Not for Long.
Unless, your body is permanently coated with a thin film of plastic or other petrochemical derivative, your beautiful new mistress will become soiled with greasy marks after a few weeks of useage. These inevitable greasy marks are somehow overlooked in apple’s informative propoganda http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/ (though the grease problem is not restricted just to apple hardware).
I found the cleaning guidlines on the apple web site didn’t quite cut the mustard and in particular the dark patches where my palms rest on the mac book simply would not budge. So instead I decided to go a step further a purchase a cleaning product.
The cleaning guidelines are warn against abrasive products, solvents and sprays. I decided to try a ‘bath cleaning’ product (おふろのルック in japan and in the pic), my reasoning was baths are usually plastic and subject to grease residue. And to my joy and despite apples warning a quick spray and wipe with this product has restored my mac book to it’s angelic white glory.
Warning: use my recommendation at your own risk, be careful with what you spray on your computer and definitely shut it down first!.
