update on the shibuya story!
It turns out there was some Korean Guy, Mr Hwang who had been taking photo’s and a little vid of my little specticle. He was sat in the Starbucks cafe that over looks the centre Gai and had a nice vantage point on the whole scene. Jo (American Guy taking the pics from the street) and I went to the cafe afterwards and Mr Hwang showed me the pics, so I gave him my card and said please email me them - didn’t realise there was a little vid in there too!
WATCH SHIBUYA VIDEO
Anyway the first 20seconds of the video is the best, I’ll edit it down next time I get my greasy mits on a mac.
wow, look at all those people busying themselves with buying lemons or whatever, hard to believe that with so many people in the world, im at home alone with the lastest Razzle. Still ive only got myself to blame i suppose……..great vid!
The stunt looks so skilled in the photos.
Then we see the landings . . . .
hahahaha, i didn’t expect i can see the vid of your performance!
well, i give you what the two japanese girls in the starbucks cafe mentioned about you.
gril1 ‘isn’t that guy undergrad student?’
girl2 ‘huh?’
then the girl 2 sound like noticed you.
g2 ‘gosh, what a heck is he doing there? isn’t he mad?’
g1 ‘hahaha, he’s keep doing it! he’s keep doin!’
the conversation continues but i can’t hear much of their voice from this vid.
at last, one girl said ‘すごいね!=cool!’
you are extraordinary at least.
Yes extraordinary.
I keep comming back to have another look . . .
You should submit it for the turner prize, but it would have to have some kind of significance I guess.
Also, I want to see you do it with your hands in you pockets.
Turner Prize - yes!
After the turner prize was won by the ‘Artist’ who did ‘Shed Boat Shed’, I was thinking of submitting a piece called ‘Dog Boat Dog’. However I think this is much better. Anyone got any suggestions for my ‘Artists Statement’?
Turner Prize. Yes, the hole thing you work on with headstand.
It must be someting like to see the world from another agle … i guess that what the path would be,,,,
you may take shots from the position you did the headstand and then turn them upside-down and put them togehter.
Couldn’t you be a radical take on the lollipop lady? At least you could claim that you’re actually trying to better the world by stressing the importance of road safety, whilst being inventive and artsy (Turner Prize), thus challenging cultural norms with upsidedown-ness whilst asking ‘who is really upside-down?’ or some such bollocks…………..
