What place better to start my notes from Japan than the cultural mecca that is the toilet

You may already be aware of some of the features and nuances of a japanese toilet, but here’s a few pointers to get you on your way.
- There is a thermostatic control for selecting the temperature of the seat, no more cold buttocks in the morning!
- There appears to be two bum washing mechanisms, the French bede button and another button that some kanji I can’t read and a picture of a bum (see details below)
- When you flush, the cistern refills, but from a ‘tap’ that runs into a sink that drains into the cistern – you can wash your hands with the cistern refil water, what an ingeneous savouir of resourses!
